Ginger tea


  • 1 inch chunk of ginger, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 2 cups of water
  • Lemon juice (optional)
  • Honey, or brown sugar, to taste


  1. In a small stockpot boil the ginger with water. Reduce to a simmer and steep for 5-10 minutes depending on desired strength.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, if using, and honey or sugar to taste. Drink immediately or chill.
